David posted his SFSD years in the past. What a tremendous bread that I’ve made many instances through the years. After I was attempting to find a cherry- pecan combo bread up got here David SFSD and Ian’s tackle the formulation.
A tremendous combo to make certain. I used dried UP Michigan cherries as an alternative of figs , as one model recommended. Ha … cherries weigh much less so I’ve a LOT of cherries. I folded them in with the ultimate shaping and had a lot of “ unfastened ends” lol. I like them barely charred when toasted. Not everybody in my family would agree with the smoke lol.
Anyway it’s an unimaginable bread and one to be served this time of 12 months for a festive deal with.

And there actually is not any such factor as too many cherries.

Simply pardon me whereas I wave away the smoke lol!
Bitter cherries and pecans in sourdough bread is so good!
Lately, I’ve favored my multi-grain sourdough for dried fruit and nut breads. http://www.thefreshloaf.com/node/66323/my-favorite-multigrain-sourdough-bread-11102020

I used it precisely and added by weight the cherries and pecans as an alternative of figs. Figs weigh much more lol. Let’s simply say it’s a cherry heavy bread. Scrumptious.
I all the time look to your formulation for the optimum bread consequence. 🙏
